Assembly instructions for Mercedes-Benz W124/W210/W202/190

1. Pull the plastic frame up with the gear cuff.

2. Loosen the bayonet closure (cone -shaped plastic part) on the gear knob by turning it against the clockwise sense as can be seen in the picture. Now the gear knob can be pulled out. (In the older models 190s and W124, a hexagon nut is attached instead of a bayonet closure and the gear knob is screwed in)

3. Separate the gear knob from the cuff by pressing it up at the top and at the same time loosening the cuff with a flat screwdriver with a rotary movement.

4. The old switching cuff from the frame completely removed.

5. Apply the supplied adhesive strips on the plastic frame and stick the new gear cuff on the frame.

6. Place the new switching cuff on the gear knob and clamp the plastic sleeve again.

7. Install the new switching cuff in the vehicle.
