For sale is an autograph of former professional wrestler Wild Bill Longson. His pencil signature was in an autograph album that was put together by a young Evansville, Indiana, fan in the 1940s. Longson spent most of his career in St. Louis. He perfected the arrogant bad-guy role and is credited with inventing and popularizing the piledriver move. Longson was a three-time National Wrestling Association World Heavyweight champion during the 1940s. He died in 1982, at age 76. This signature and a photo of Longson, clipped from a vintage wrestling program, were pasted to the album page. Another photo of the wrestler is pasted on the back of the page, which measures 4 1/4 by 6 inches and is in very good condition. Longson’s signature is quite rare and is highly-coveted by fans and collectors. See my listings for other vintage items. I gladly combine shipping fees for multiple purchases when they can be packaged together, and I do ship internationally. Please contact me with any questions, and thanks for looking!
