1. When to upgrade it? If you encounter any problem while using OM129 or it doesn't work smoothly, you can update it. You don't have to upgrade it before using it.

2. How to upgrade it? The tool can be updated via USB cable. Note: Make sure the computer has an Internet connection. A. Go to （http://www.autophix.com/en/supports/download.html）and download the update tool to the computer. Decompress and install it on your computer (compatible with Windows XP, 7, 8 & 10) B. After installation, connect the scanner to the computer. C. Once the tool is powered up, launch the update tool on your computer, the system starts reading the tool. Once it obtains the tool information, click [Device Upgrade]. D. Click [Upgrade] to start updating until the update is complete.

3. What year of car can it cover? OM129 supports all OBDII protocols: KWP2000, ISO9141, J1850 VPW, J1850 PWM and CAN (Controller Area Network). This scanner can work on most domestic, European and Asian OBDII-compliant models manufactured from 1996 and newer.

4. Why can't it clear the fault code? Usually, it's caused by poor connection, or because the fault code appears again for not solving the problem.

5. There is no response when communicating with on-board computer. Please confirm the proper voltage of power supply and check if the throttle has been closed, the transmission is in the neutral position, and the water is in proper temperature.

6. What kind of code can it read? OM129 can retrieve Current Codes, Permanent Codes, and Pending Codes from the vehicle's on-board computer.
