This is an original 1940 yearbook called "Argus". It was published for Chaffey Junior College in Ontario, California.  It is in good condition for its age. This is a World War II period yearbook. It is quite possible that it pictures young men who later served or were killed in the War. This book may contain their last image. Also, there are often tributes and/or other references to the War in yearbooks of this period.
