This is a terrific, hand-painted original production cel set-up from the animated short, Little Beau Porky, produced by Warner Brothers in 1936. Little Beau Porky is a Looney Tunes cartoon short produced by Leon Schlesinger and released in November 1936. Porky is in the French Foreign Legion as a camel scrubber. The short was written by Chuck Jones and directed by Frank Tashlin.
In 1967, Warner Brothers decided to have 78 classic black & white cartoons colorized for theaters and television. Warner Brothers packed off prints of its 1936–43 black-and-white cartoons to Korea to be remade in color. Computer colorization had not been invented, so the films were redrawn and new cels created and photographed. These "remakes" are commonly seen on public domain tapes while a handful can be seen on Cartoon Network.
