Our straight-style pocket watch chains, often also referred to as “opera” or “sports” styles, are created from a single, continuous length of your chosen chain-link style. This chain will be finished on one end with a single heavy swivel with a secure interior latch to secure to the bow of your watch, while the opposite end is finished with a 43mm long solid bar with a smooth polish finish along the length with a lightly textured raised sphere center detail that extends to the sturdy connector loop. This chain is ready to wear or can be embellished by adding a decorative fob along the length.

- The noted length of our straight pocket watch chains is the approximate length with no primary finding; the different findings we offer will increase the length accordingly. For example, the 8" straight-style chain with the sphere-detail t-bar finding will be a finished 8.3" due to the 0.3" (8mm) length of the t-bar. If you need a specific finished length of chain, we do assemble each chain to order and can accommodate any request; drop us an email with your specifications.
- Due to the multiple finding types we offer, all of our photos above are simply shown using our spring ring style primary finding and the center ring connector secondary finding. Please see the insert photo for this listing to confirm the specific primary finding type that will be placed with this product order.

Depending on the style you are looking to create with your chain, we offer that for someone with a slender build or short to average height, you can expect the shown item to hang off your person similar to the photo. If you have a larger build or are taller than average, please note the chain will hang differently off your person than shown. As a rule of thumb, on an average-build male, we suggest straight style chains 10" or shorter for heights under 5'8", 10" to 14" for heights 5'8" to 6'2" and 14" or longer for heights over 6'2".

Materials & Colors:
Our chain lengths are manufactured with a solid brass base and finished with the following color options. Additionally, the chain lengths have been finished with a thin sealant to prevent tarnishing, creating a very high quality material we're proud to carry due to its overall appearance and durability. The findings we offer to complete the chains will have a non-toxic nickel or brass base metal composition, also finished with the following color options, dependant on the complexity of each finding.- Sterling silver plate: High grade .925 solid silver plating, very close to a gold filled quality.
- 24k gold plate: 24k solid gold plating, very close to a gold filled quality.
- Hematite black plate: Hematite black (black with a lustrous tone) plating.
