This listing is for a gorgeous antique Art Glass lamp shade made by Quezal of creamy white calcite glass cased over gold iridescent, c. 1905-1920. The shade has a warm golden iridescent coloration on the inside with Calcite glass on the outside with the exterior of the shade being decorated with random colorful feathers with a densely applied random application of threading. The shade's body is widest at the top and has a wide scalloped rim. Marked on fitter rim "Quezal".
Measures 5 1/4" high with a top diameter of 5 1/8" and the fitter ring is 2 3/16" in diameter. Weighs 9.3 ounces.
This nice lamp shade is in excellent Estate condition with the only noted flaw being a small chip on the fitter ring. We found no breaks or skips on the threading. The color is rich with lovely iridescence. Please note that we have a matching shade available but are listing it separately as the internal feather coloration is more vivid, the threading is more predominant and it is free of any flaws. Should you have use for a pair, please check out our other listing.
