From 1985 though 1990, Fleer released over thirty 44 card boxed sets through various retail outlets such as Ben Franklin, Bi-Mart, Eckerd, Kay Bee,Revco, Toys'r'Us, Walgreens and others.

Because there were so many similar sets, these issues have been typically lumped together in judging availability and value. Some were heavily produced, mostly the many sets from 1987 and 1988.
But now, more than a decade later, a few of these sets are recognized as much more difficult.
