Czech choreographer Jiri Kylian is one of the most innovative and successful ballet masters on the contemporary dance scene. The vitality of his works is supported by an especially highly developed feeling for music, making it seem as if the music and the dancers flow from a common impulse. This series of plotless dance pieces offers six individual pictures of Kyli+¡n's highly inventive choreographic mind, spanning a spectrum of styles and moods even while knitting together the constants of Kylian's work: modern style seen through the lens of classical form, personal existential questioning on an impersonal stage, and classical economy married to explosive energy.
