This is a replacement mechanical water seal to repair the water pump, not the oil seal. Click on the photo above to see how easy it is.
Some pump shafts are fitted with a circlip, this make it easy to remove.
This part is not available from Kawasaki, they only sell a complete pump.
The seal is fairly easy to replace once the pump is removed and opened up.
Firmly hold the impeller top hat is a vice then use a soft mallet to tap the pump body away.
Once removed pry out and replace the seal on the main body, tap the new seal home.
Pry out the polo and rubber seal from the impeller.
When refitting the polo and rubber seal, put a little silicon sealant in the impeller top hat first.
This will form a good seal since the impeller is sometimes warped during removal.
