Silk - it is just
the ticket for beadstringing. It is strong and knots beautifully. The Gudebrod
Company made the finest silk thread for many years. Silk thread is also used for other arts, such as fly-tying.
THIS LOT IS FOR FULL SPOOLS OF SIZES 00, 0, A, B AND C. These are the thinnest gauges.
Below is a list of the length of silk on a full spool.
Here is diameter information and the approximate number of yards on a FULL spool (these are full spools):
00 = .005" (.127mm) 700 yards
0 = .006" (.152mm) 600 yards
A = .007" (.178mm) 425 yards
B = .008" (.203mm) 390 yards
C = .0108" (.274mm) 310 yards
Please note that these are from my now-closed retail store and some spools have come loose or have lost the sticker on the bottom. They are all 1/2 ounce full spools, however.

REGARDING PACKAGING: Whenever possible, I use recycled materials for packaging. You may get your items in an box that once held packets of instant oatmeal! I like to reuse these boxes because they are lightweight and sturdy, and they are getting another life before heading to a landfill. I also reuse bubble envelopes and the like, and print receipts on the back of scrap paper. With me, everything gets a second life, so that I can continue to keep my prices low.
