Eucalyptus 'Moon Lagoon', commonly known as the Fine-leaf Mallee, is a small naturally hybridising Eucalypt that is grown for its beautiful foliage, it is believed to be a naturally occurring hybrid between Eucalyptus kruseana and Eucalyptus latens. 

It grows to approximately 3m in height and width, juvenile foliage is a glaucous blue-green with the adult foliage from three years of age becoming a bright green.  Flowers are white and are set off attractively against the reddish-orange of the bud caps.

Eucalyptus 'Moon Lagoon' is prized for its juvenile foliage which is used as a floristry filler and highlight.  This juvenile foliage can best be maximised by coppicing the trees (pruning and cutting back) to maintain growth of juvenile foliage

 

This species is very drought and frost tolerant and grows best in full sun in well-drained soil and can be a  useful screen or low windbreak
