Using the same high resolution Sony CCD based HQ5 Bullet camera but with tweaked lens filters to enhance colour and sharpness all round.
The MiniDVR 3 is the 3rd generation of bullet cameras from this range and uses the very latest Zorro 9 chipset for encoding. This gives a higher bitrate up to 13mb/s resulting in better video quality than ever before. We reckon the video quality is around 25% better than the previous h720 model.

As with the previous model you still get the "LANC" remote controller which plugs in to the recorder part. You can turn the unit on/off and start/stop recording with the remote either on your wrist or hanging from a jacket pocket. This means you can keep the recorder part tucked safely out of the way.
2 x 1400mAh rechargeable batteries with each system which will give you at least 2 hours record time each.
You get an external battery charger that allows you to charge both batteries at the same time.
The cigarette lighter adapter that can be used to either charge the batteries in the recorder or to power it permanently. The system can be put in "CAR MODE" which detects when you have powered up the recorder from your vehicle. At this point it will turn on and start recording automatically.
