This listing is for a lovely vintage English Sterling Silver miniature throne chair or hall seat purchased with a group of doll house furniture and accessories.
Wonderful vintage throne chair with lion supports and intricate engraved and embossed details. This lovely miniature is actually a copy of St. Edward's throne, located in Westminster Abbey. It is the throne that all English monarchs are crowned on. The large rectangle below the seat is the Stone of Scone, which is said to have been brought to England by the Biblical Joseph or his son.
The chair is in excellent condition with no dents or dings, although there are some minor tarnish spots on back crease of seat (see photos). We have not polished this item. No other noted flaws.
The piece is stamped with English hallmarks for "Sterling, Birmingham" with date letter for 1956 and unidentified maker's trademark "A.M. & Co.".
