Acacia podalyriifolia - Queensland Silver Wattle

The Silver Wattle, commonly known as Acacia podalyriifolia, is one of the best of the Acacia species making a fine showing with its masses of bright yellow flowers and attractive silvery foliage.  It grows in to a tall shrub or small tree to about 8m tall and 5m wide, it will take some light pruning to determine desired height.  This is a fast growing species that can take the Canberra cold and can flower in its second year, preferring a well drained soil in a sunny position.
