Here is a rare partial fossil fish, Platysomus, from the Kinney Quarry of New Mexico. It's a partial study grade specimen showing the head and part of the body. The matrix is very crumbly and has had several cracks repaired, and as you can see, some bits are missing. Material from the site is very rare and hard to come by.

Size: Fish measures 8 cm long on matrix measuring 11 x 6 cm

Age: Carboniferous
