J. VERNON MCGEE- An X-Ray Of The Cross CD

An X-Ray of the Cross is not to be heard, but to be experienced. While The Gospels record the historical fact of the death of Christ, and some of the events which attended His crucifixion, only in Psalm 22 are His thoughts revealed. It is as though an X-ray penetrates into His inner life, and we see the anguish of His passion. His soul is laid bare. Dr. McGee originally delivered this revealing and tender message to a live congregation, so that the album captures the atmosphere created by the Holy Spirit.

Dr. McGee is best known for his "Thru The Bible" radio program - now heard throughout the world. He has pastored Presbyterian churches in Decatur, Georgia; Nashville, Tennessee; Cleburne, Texas; Pasadena, California; as well as the interdenominational Church of the Open Door in Los Angeles, from which he retired in 1970 after 21 years of ministry. Born and reared in the south, Dr. McGee took his A.B. from Southwestern University in Memphis, his B.D. from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, his Th.M. and Th.D. from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas.
