Here is a replacement filter kit for your Busch R-1000 & R-1600 vacuum pumps.     If you were to order this from the manufacturer, you would use part number 993.370.02.

This kit consists of sixteen exhaust filters, two oil filters, cloth baffle strainers, oil fill plug and sight glass gasket. 

Filter changes are recommended at least once a year.  If your pump is smoking out of the exhaust end, changing the filters often clears up the problem.
