The lids for sale in DPF Plumbing listings are old, used and salvaged unless labeled "N" (New In Box). There are five category ratings as seen below.

  1. NIB                 (N)  New in Box
  2. Pristine          (P)  Pristine lids appear new on the top surface, but show signs of use on the under side such as water stains.
  3. Undamaged (U)  Undamaged lids may have slight scratches or abrasions from handling; or other minor specks. These conditions are not noted in the description as they are just "The Nature of the Beast."
  4. Blemished    (B)  Blemished  means there is a manufacturing defect or imperfection in the glazed surface or edge. These are sometimes called B-Grades or "Seconds".
  5. Damaged      (D)  Damaged includes chips (a piece is missing); nicks (in the surface only); and cracks. Any damage or blemish that we are aware of is noted in the description of the lid. Damaged and blemished lids are often reduced in price and may be a value for some customers depending on the location of the flaw relative to its view in your bathroom.

Not all tank covers are created equal. To get the correct tank cover, look for the number(s) inside the tank or on the lid. The older American Standard two-piece and wall hung tank numbers are 4 digits starting with the number 4. Sometimes the number is within a larger number (i.e. 640497). The same goes for one-piece toilets except the number starts with 2. That number is actually the tank number for two-piece and wall hung tank, and it is the bowl number on a one-piece toilet. The newer American Standard tank covers have a 6 digit number starting with the number 7 stamped on the lid.

A handling charge of 50 cents will be added to actual shipping charges (on calculated shipping).  If shipping charges paid are higher than amount paid, difference will be refunded.

 

SHIPPING - INTERNATIONAL: Final international shipping charge to be confirmed at time of auction end.   Certificate of Shipping will be added on First Class Mail International packages.  No items will be replaced on international shipping.  A handling charge of $1.00 will be added to actual shipping charges (on calculated shipping).  If shipping charges paid are higher than amount paid, difference will be refunded.
