Antique Wooden Trinket box with lid 
Unusual shaped piece - SOME DAMAGE 

I had thought maybe WW1 Propeller section Trinket box but not sure it is as wood not layered / laminated.

Approx 24cm long 
8cm at widest .
8.6cm deep at lid ( high point )
6.2cm tall without lid.

Wood has 2 splits one side and vertical split at narrow end .
Lid CHIPPED / DAMAGED at narrow end / underside as shown

Odd rough part one end - looks like charred damage ?
Looks like rounded outer chipped off ??

 Wood soft / worn in this area .

any ideas ??
Could be part of damaged aircraft or just carved wood ??
