Discover a piece of photographic history with this vintage Fujica 35-SE F1.9 35mm film camera, released by Fujifilm in 1959. Renowned for being the world's first lens-shutter camera to achieve a high-speed 1/1000 second shutter, this particular model features a highly resolving Fujinon F1.9 lens. This classic rangefinder camera offers a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts of retro photography.
While the shooting operation is unconfirmed, the shutter fires and film winding works. Shutter speed, exposure selection, and timer dials are functional. Please note that the light meter barely responds, and the focusing dial only moves halfway, with the double image not appearing. It comes with a filter and a lens cover. A damaged leather cover is also included, as shown in the last photo, adding to its charming Showa Retro aesthetic. Despite the noted issues, this item was cherished by a relative and is offered as-is for parts or repair, or for display.
