A fine photographic print for nature lovers: luminous color, fine detail, and a timeless naturalist spirit.
Brian Elliott Small has spent three decades behind the lens and is a leading force in bird photography publishing. He grew up in Los Angeles, the son of the late Dr. Arnold Small, ornithologist and a founding father of the American Birding Association, and began birding and photographing as a small boy at his father’s side. He served fifteen years as Photo Editor of Birding magazine and today shares a monthly bird identification column with Kenn Kaufman in BirdWatching.
He was the lead photo contributor to the Smithsonian Field Guide to the Birds of North America, co-authored Birds of Western North America and Birds of Eastern North America for Princeton University Press, and his pictures fill the Kaufman, Stokes, Audubon, Peterson and National Geographic guides. The closing credits of The Big Year roll over a montage of his images. His archive of more than a million bird photographs is among the most comprehensive in the world.
Photographed in the field on one of Brian’s incredible adventures and captured in a perfect moment.
Small Wonders Bird Prints is Brian Elliott Small’s official eBay store. Brian is represented exclusively by The Spencer Company.
