Description
Vintage Mid-Century Carved Wood Chinese Pagoda "Turandot" Wall Mirror
Up for auction/sale is a beautiful, genuine mid-20th-century Chinoiserie pagoda wall mirror. Often referred to as the "Turandot" style, this vintage accent piece features a beautifully carved solid wood frame with intricate Asian-inspired fretwork, faux-bamboo side pillars, and a classic pagoda-style roof silhouette.
The central mirror glass is framed by a striking plum blossom cutout, which remains clear and fully intact. The top of the frame features an authentic brass ruyi-cloud style hanging bracket, making it ready to display.
Dimensions:
• Height: Approx. 23 inches
• Width: Approx. 13 inches
Condition Report:
This mirror is in good, structurally sound vintage condition with a beautiful aged patina. It is made of solid wood (not resin/plastic). There is minor cosmetic surface wear consistent with age, including scuffs and finish loss exposing lighter wood along some of the edges, the pagoda roof, and the lower spindles chip (please review all photos carefully for details). No cracked glass or broken fretwork. A perfect candidate for a quick restoration touch-up or to display as-is with its authentic vintage character.
