About the artist:
One of the most influential artists of the 1980s comic-book era, Mike Zeck is celebrated for his dynamic compositions and iconic cover art. Beginning his professional career at Marvel Comics, Zeck illustrated such titles as Master of Kung Fu, Captain America, and The Amazing Spider-Man. His work on Marvel’s landmark Secret Wars limited series helped define the event, and his design of Spider-Man’s black costume ultimately led to one of Marvel's most popular modern characters, Venom. Zeck’s covers for the 1986 The Punisher limited series became enduring classics, helping transform the character into a major Marvel property. And his covers and interiors for the landmark "Kraven's Last Hunt" storyline lavishly illustrated what would go on to become one of the most celebrated Spidy stories of all time. He also contributed to DC Comics, illustrating titles including Batman and Deathstroke: The Terminator. His distinctive style has influenced generations of comic-book artists.
Excepting pack-pulled autograph trading cards, CGC Signature Series, signed Sideshow prints, and like collectibles, all autographed items Vault Collectibles sells were personally witnessed, by myself, being signed by the writer, artist, or celebrity in question. No third party is involved. Further, art sketches - and most published original art I sell - were obtained directly from the artist themselves.
