Signed Castlecliff heraldic crest brooch/pendant featuring a beautifully crafted molded glass centerpiece with remarkable dimensional depth. The glass is molded in relief and reverse painted, with additional gold accents applied to the front, creating the appearance of a miniature heraldic plaque suspended within the cabochon.
The center displays a richly detailed coat-of-arms motif on a green background and framed by an ornate gold-tone openwork setting in the Medieval Revival style. An integrated bail above the signature cartouche allows the piece to be worn as either a brooch or pendant, a desirable feature for collectors of vintage costume jewelry.
Signed CASTLECLIFF on the reverse. Rollover safety clasp. Circa 1950s-1960s.
An unusual and highly collectible Castlecliff design combining heraldic imagery, molded art glass construction, and dual-wear versatility.
