DOOM 3: BFG Edition for the Xbox 360 is the definitive, remastered compilation of the legendary first-person shooter franchise. Released in October 2012, it serves as an all-in-one package that modernizes the classic horror shooter for consoles with enhanced gameplay mechanics, upgraded performance, and tons of bonus content.
What is Included in the Box?
The BFG Edition acts as the ultimate collection for the series, featuring:
- DOOM 3 (Remastered): The core sci-fi survival horror experience featuring improved rendering, better lighting, and stereoscopic 3D support.
- Resurrection of Evil Expansion: The official follow-up campaign that includes new weapons (like the Grabber gun), new enemies, and unique time-manipulation abilities.
- The Lost Mission: A completely new, exclusive seven-level single-player chapter that tasks you with a separate narrative running parallel to the main story.
- Classic DOOM & DOOM II: Complete, standalone versions of the original classic games accessible directly from the main menu.
Key Mechanical & Visual Upgrades
- The Armor-Mounted Flashlight: Unlike the controversial mechanic in the original 2004 release—which forced you to choose between holding a flashlight or a weapon—this version introduces a shoulder-mounted light so you can search dark corridors while keeping your gun drawn.
- Smoother Gameplay & Checkpoints: The game engine runs at an incredibly fluid frame rate with tuned console controls, dynamic 5.1 surround sound, and a modern checkpoint autosave system.
- Brighter Visuals & Tuning: To adjust for a smoother action flow, environmental brightness was increased and ammunition counts were boosted compared to the baseline original game.
NOTE: GAME CASE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, HAS SOME SIGNS OF WEAR BUT NO DAMAGE.
NOTE: GAME DISC IS ALSO IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. HAS A COUPLE LIGHT SCRATCHES BUT MOST OF DISC SURFACE IS NEW.
