Rare Soul masterpiece 45 on the 1st release in 1965 on the local STRATA label out of Philadelphia. The one to own.
Held in archive. No writing on label. No drill hole. Beautiful NM condition.
A Side - Call on Me (Leon Huff and Cindy Scott).
B-Side - It Happens Every Day (Leon Huff and Cindy Scott).
The Persianettes hailed from Camden, New Jersey, and on this 45, consisted of Vera Carey, Lucille Dunbar (Lead), and Helen Hutchinson.
Lucille Dunbar's voice on both sides is incredible, with subtle hints of her local New Jersey accent.....
The Persianettes released very few records, mostly working as backing singers for singers such as Dee Dee Sharp, and Timmy Carr. Lucille Dunbar returned to her roots in the church circa 1966.
Fantastic 2 sider.
