This is an elegant and stylish, full-length vintage dressing gown/robe by Christian Dior.
It is made from a soft, smooth, slinky satin jacquard, with a light-catching woven floral design, in a sunny yellow-gold shade.
The robe is a classic wrapover style, with wide, bracelet length sleeves. There's a little inner tie so the robe hangs nicely and doesn't come undone, a long sash belt, and concealed pockets in the side seams. The robe flares gracefully down to the hem, deliciously soft and slinky to wear!
Size notes: labelled Large, the robe is generously cut and will suit most Large and XL sizes. Measured flat, it's about 48" across at bust level, so it will fit all sizes below that, draping equally well on a large or medium frame. (Don't be put off if the bust size seems huge - when it is wrapped over and belted, the satin falls in full, pleasing drapes - it's really not too big for a Medium to Large!) It's very long, at 58", shoulder to hem, so great for taller ladies...
The robe is in excellent condition overall, with original Christian Dior and Neiman Marcus labels inside. (It has been laundered for freshness.) The only faults are a couple of very fine pulls - one on the front down near the hem, one on the back of the sleeve and one on the belt, but they really don't show or spoil it and the robe actually looks new!
A rare thing: this is a luxury dressing gown that is also comfortable and practical to wear. It looks wonderful on - stylish, feminine and unmistakably Dior! Recommended.
