🐌 WHAT DOES C-GRADE MEAN?

C-grade is a cosmetic classification. These snails may have visible shell imperfections, such as:

  • Pitting, etching, or surface wear
  • Uneven shell growth or growth lines
  • Chips, marks, or other cosmetic blemishes
  • Older shell damage or imperfections from previous conditions

Each snail is unique, and the type and degree of imperfections will vary. Please understand that these are not perfect-show-quality snails. They are a budget-friendly option for people who appreciate the snails themselves rather than a flawless shell.

🐚 CAN SHELL DAMAGE BE REVERSED?

Existing shell damage generally cannot be restored to its original, flawless appearance. A Mystery Snail can grow new shell material at the shell opening, and good water quality and proper nutrition can support healthy new growth. However, old pits, scars, chips, and damaged areas may remain visible permanently.

The goal is to support healthy growth going forward, not promise that the shell will become perfect.

🐣 WILL C-GRADE AFFECT THEIR OFFSPRING?

Cosmetic shell imperfections alone do not automatically mean a snail will produce defective offspring. Shell appearance can be influenced by genetics, water chemistry, nutrition, and environmental conditions.

However, inherited traits and certain underlying health or developmental issues can affect offspring. We cannot guarantee that offspring will have perfect shells or that cosmetic traits will never be inherited.

🐌 MYSTERY SNAIL CARE

To help your snail thrive, provide:

  • Freshwater: A properly cycled aquarium with stable water parameters.
  • Calcium: Adequate calcium availability to support shell growth and maintenance.
  • Water quality: Ammonia 0 ppm and nitrite 0 ppm, with regular testing and maintenance.
  • Suitable pH: Generally around 7.0–8.0, with stable conditions and sufficient minerals.
  • Temperature: Approximately 68–82°F, avoiding sudden temperature changes.
  • Proper food: A varied diet that includes appropriate snail foods and calcium-containing foods.
  • Safe tank mates: Avoid fish or other animals known to attack or eat snails.

Copper-based medications and copper contamination can be harmful to snails. Always check aquarium treatments before use.


🌿Acclimation

•Snails may not move up to a day from being out of water for days during transit. Put some food in the tank and see if they will move towards the food.
•Snails may float when they first are put in water. It's because of the air pockets in their shell. They will release the air and start moving around and latching on to the sides of your tank.

To ensure live arrival and safe travel:
• Ships Monday only because it helps avoid weekend delays. Mail is getting slower and we want them to arrive in a timely matter. Alot of the time we upgrade at no charge if we can get a good shipping rate to get them to you faster. If you require a specific carrier, please send a message.
• Snails are well packaged inside a deli cup with wet paper towels and punctured holes for air. The cup is then placed ina shipping box and covered with a poly mailer. 
• Tracking provided

🐌 LIVE GUARANTEE/ DOA POLICY

If you receive DOA snails, please message me within 3 hrs of delivery. Send a 30 second video of the snails to my email. Snails are likely to be dead when their bodies are out of their shells and smell extremely foul. 

•DOA refund covers the cost of the snails only, shipping cost are non-refundable.
