DADDIES FAVOURITE SAUCE
GRANNY'S DELICIOUS SAUCE

Lot of TWO (2): both large.

Aqua colored BLOWN GLASS bottles made in England during the early 1900's
Missing or Un-Registered Glass-Blowers' Marks:

DADDIES: 2 Raised DOTS
GRANNY'S: un-marked DIAMOND
(Bottles with these exact traits were widely manufactured in major British glass-making hubs such as St. Helen's (Lancashire), Bristol, and Yorkshire)

DADDIES:     8-1/4" tall;  1-5/8" Square base
GRANNY'S:   7-3/4" tall;  1-5/8" Square base
  • SHEARED-LIP Rough Edge (used a cork)

***NOTE: these items were found in the mid-1970's in an abandoned 19th and early 20th century Garbage Dump ( or Tip ); this tends to add stains or other marks, chips, glaze-bites, and 'character' (read patina).

THESE BOTTLES are in REMARKABLE CONDITION: no cracks.
  • The neck is SHEARED and is essentially one big set of chips.
  • There is a chip at the neck on each one which may have occurred after use, but it is consistent with the rest of the SHEARED lip, so it may have been "factory".
