Vintage Omega Seamaster GX6250 Caliber 500 17-Jewel 14K Gold Filled Automatic Wristwatch

This wristwatch measures approximately 34.6 mm in diameter and 42.8 mm in total length including lugs. The lug width is approximately 17.4 mm.

The dial has been refinished; it is signed "OMEGA AUTOMATIC SEAMASTER SWISS MADE" - see photos.

The case is in attractive condition overall with some small dents in the case back and some characteristic wear on the tops of the lugs as well as on case and lug edges - see photos. The case back is marked "14K GOLD FILLED"; the inside case back is signed "OMEGA WATCH CO. GX6250 E14006 14K. GOLD FILLED" - see photos. The crystal is in good used condition - see photos.

The movement is signed "OMEGA WATCH CO. SWISS SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS ADJUSTED TWO (2) POSITIONS 500 16257104" - see photos. Sets and winds smoothly. The balance staff is intact, the balance swings freely, and it runs; over a 24-hour observation period, it ran and kept time within approximately 1 minute/day. The automatic rotor in this watch can be heard striking the caseback when shaken. The auto-axle seems good, but it may need a thicker case back gasket or different case clamps. 

The black leather replacement strap is in very good condition - see photos.

Runs and keeps time within 1 minute/day; has not been serviced recently; sold "as is" - please review photos with care.
