Up for bid is a fancy small berry shovel in an engraved rose floral pattern by Hotchkiss & Schreuder. The spoon is 8 ¾ inches long and weighs 59.11 grams.  The scoop-shaped bowl is lightly frosted and gilded and has floral engraving in the interior.  It has matching engraving on the upturned rounded handle.  The piece is engraved “MC” on the handle front.  It is marked “H&S”, “STERLING” and “C.S. BALL”

Condition on the spoon is fairly good.  There is wear to the gilding and one minor bowl ding, as well as normal wear  A nice Victorian serving piece!
