Natural and untreated sunstone gemstone originating from Oregon USA. This weighs 2.90 CTS and has been cut and faceted into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 11.8 x 8.2 x 4.9 mm.

The stone has some amazing optical properties, most notably the aventurescent effect. This phenomenon is seen as a glittering metallic sheen throughout its surface. This is created by microscopic copper or hematite inclusions within the stone that refract light in multiple directions. The coloring is a highly desirable reddish orange, and displays a visible internal glow.

The gem is fully transparent and has excellent clarity. There is no discernable flaws and only slight natural inclusions found upon magnification. This would be considered eye clean or VVS clarity. There is no visible damage or chips and is in mint condition.
