"A Night at the Opera" Anniversary Silver Edition

CD1: Features the complete album in a new 2026 "Multiplex Stereo Remix" edit, plus studio outtakes including previously unreleased material.

CD2: Features the "Elemental / Naked Mix 2026"—an alternate edit reconstructed from multitrack sources—plus remixes and alternate versions.

*A Night at the Opera* is a historic masterpiece acclaimed as the pinnacle of early Queen. Following the album's 50th anniversary last year, this release arrives as the "Silver Edition"—one of two distinct versions (Silver and Gold). The "Silver Edition" presents the entire album on CD1 in a new 2026 "Multiplex Stereo Remix"; reconstructed from multitrack sources, this mix offers enhanced clarity for vocals and individual instruments. The latter half of the disc contains studio outtakes. Included are previously officially unreleased recordings—sourced from Sarm Studios "Ruff Mix" reel tapes—such as "People of the Earth" (an early version of "The Prophet's Song"), "Love of My Life," and "Good Company," as well as material documenting the production process of "Bohemian Rhapsody." CD 1 presents a reconstructed, "stripped-down" version of the masterpiece *A Night at the Opera*—titled the "Elemental/Naked Mix"—capturing the sound as it existed prior to final overdubs. By isolating elements from the multitrack masters, it brings to the fore sounds that were previously buried, featuring mixes that isolate lead vocals, remove backing vocals, or retain only the guitar or piano accompaniment. The latter section, "Remixes and Alternates," includes additional outtakes and alternate versions that did not appear on the original album. This newly compiled alternate collection allows listeners to fully appreciate the album—alongside the simultaneously released "Gold" edition—by revealing fresh discoveries and a variety of unique musical nuances.

CD: Faithful reproduction of the 1976 original analog master + non-album singles and rarities

DVD: Newly edited video album + multi-select audio album (4 audio options) + video collection

"A Night at the Opera" is a historic masterpiece acclaimed as the pinnacle of early Queen. To mark the album's 50th anniversary, it has been released in two distinct versions: "Silver" and "Gold." The "Gold Edition" is a 2-disc CD+DVD set. The CD features the "Original Analog Master," capturing the ultimate master-tape sound faithful to the original audio from 50 years ago. Unlike previous digital remasters, this release restores the sound intended at the time of the original launch, offering a complete reproduction of the analog master—distinct from the various vinyl pressings and modern digital remasters released over the years. The latter part of the disc compiles non-album tracks, including single edits and remixes. The DVD serves as a "Complete Video Album," presenting visual content for every track on the record; this is a newly updated version featuring edits that differ from previous releases of this type. The "Multi-Select Audio Album" features lyric videos and offers a choice of four audio options: the "Anniversary New Stereo Mix," "Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround," and newly edited, sonically upgraded "Instrumental Backing Tracks" and "Vocal-Only Tracks." Meanwhile, the "Video Collection" compiles various versions and promotional clips of the masterpiece "Bohemian Rhapsody." This newly edited alternate collection—released alongside the "Silver" edition—allows you to fully enjoy the classic album *A Night at the Opera* while discovering new details and variations.
