Vintage Herman Survivors outdoor/hiking boots featuring GORE-TEX, brown leather and heavy woven textile construction, rugged lug outsoles, padded leather collars, metal speed hooks and reinforced rubber toe bumpers.
Model marking inside reads 7H-TW96. I was unable to verify a specific factory model name, so the model number is being used rather than assigning an unverified name.
The leather was quite dry when acquired and has been cleaned and treated generously with neutral leather conditioner. It responded well and remains in good condition. The woven textile sections show some age-related surface fuzzing/fraying, particularly around areas that receive friction.
One boot has a small interior lining edge that has folded/pulled away near the rear collar. This is shown clearly in the photos. The actual stitching is located below this area and remains intact—the seam itself has not separated.
Original laces and original insoles are included.
GORE-TEX branding is present. Due to the age of the boots, no guarantee is made regarding current waterproof performance.
