Early Antique Needlework HandMade Tatted Lace 4.5X56 Christening Gown Blouse Hem

It measures 4 1/2” wide and is a continuous circle measuring total 56” long.

THIS IS FROM A SMALL COLLECTION OF TEXTILES I HAVE FROM A PROMINENT SIOUX CITY, IOWA FAMILY (Dr Smith). I believe these items I’ll be listing date from 1850’s-1890’s.

At first I thought it was a pillow case trim but 56” around? I think it was a hem for a christening gown or a blouse of some sort. It’s in great condition with only one repaired rosette.
