A five decade rosary in 925 sterling silver, in the delicate filigree style Italian silversmiths are known for.
Each oval bead is formed from fine silver wire worked into an open, lace-like shape rather than stamped and soldered solid. That is why the piece feels light for its size while still being sterling throughout, the beads, the linking chain, the centre medal and the crucifix. The crucifix and medal carry an antiqued finish that sets off the bright wirework.
Each bead is individually linked onto the chain rather than threaded on cord, so nothing to fray, nothing to snap, no beads scattering across the floor. A lobster clasp on the loop lets it open and close.
New and unused, kept in storage, may benefit from a light polish before wear.
Presented ready to gift for a Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, wedding or Christmas.
CARE: store dry, ideally in a pouch or box. Filigree wirework can catch on rough fabric, handle by the chain rather than pulling on the beads. Should the silver darken over time, a soft silver cloth restores the shine in seconds, no polish or dip required.
