There are two models in the range. A 12ft 3.75lb, offering a beautiful balance for all round use, whether you are fishing under your rod tips or fishing longer ranges, and a 13ft 4lb (an exclusive in the whole Basia range to us here at TFT) which is designed for those looking to hit exceptional long range distances. However don't be fooled into thinking this will be a broom handle, as despite the increased power, the rod still offers a certain level of finesse should you wish to fish lighter links at extreme range.

Finished with black alps seats, and American Tackle Forge Minima 50mm K guides , these rods not only look amazing, they deliver incredible performance to match their superb aesthetic. 

The super slim, lightweight K guides, are not only extremely light weight, but super slim and low profile, offering the rod exceptional balance, and means they cut through the air, for maximum tip speed on the cast. 

Constructed from Daiwa's incredibly X45X blank, offering their renowned Magnum Taper profile designed and built in Daiwa UK, utilising the very latest design and material technology! 

The X45X Full Shield is the next generation of Bias Carbon Technology developed by the engineers in Japan. The innovative composition of 45° bi-directional fibres are now be applied throughout the whole rod structure, providing greater torque resistance resulting in a far higher conversion of energy into casting distance. This coupled with Daiwa's V Joint Alpha which has been developed to reduce the volume of weighty resin but increase the proportion of power producing carbon fibre within the blank itself. The addition of nano size reinforcing fibres throughout the resin combine and bond during curing to create an added bridge of strength, eliminating potential flat spots that occur at the joint section of the rod to give you not only a perfect playing but also a crisp precise casting action.

The Alps seat then complements the blank beautifully with the double collar, for ultimate security so there is zero movement under load, and then finished below with a full Japanese Shrink Grip: made from the best hard wearing shrink of all the UK made rods.
