Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 A3+ Professional Photo Printer
Brilliant professional photo printer in very good condition. It has been carefully looked after, kept clean and works absolutely fine, with no known faults.
The printer has a relatively low total usage of 1,910 pages. It had printed 1,708 pages when I bought it, so I have only added 202 pages. The original and current nozzle checks are included, showing that all nozzles are working correctly. I’ll also include some test photographs printed when I first bought it.
Until recently, I always used genuine Canon ink. I tried cheaper refill ink and printed approximately five photographs with it, but I wasn’t satisfied with the quality.
The installed Canon cartridges currently contain this third-party ink. As expected with refilled cartridges, the printer cannot reset their ink levels and displays low-ink warnings, which are acknowledged using the red Resume/Cancel button. This is normal with refilled cartridges and is not a printer fault. Installing new genuine Canon PFI-300 cartridges will restore normal ink monitoring and provide the best results.
The refill bottles are approximately half full and are included alongside some spare cartridges, although I recommend replacing the supplied aftermarket ink with genuine Canon ink.
Reason for sale:
The PRO-300 is designed for high-quality professional and fine-art photographs, but I now require something faster for event photography, with separate trays kept loaded with multiple paper sizes.
The PRO-300 can print A3+, A3, A4 and smaller photographs, and I have successfully used it at an event previously. However, speed and automatic paper selection are now more important for my particular work than producing fine-art prints. I am therefore changing to a printer that is better suited to my event workflow.
The printer supports Wi-Fi, USB and Apple AirPrint.
