NOTE

                                                            The Kaweco Aurumia 84 safety pen is a rare, vintage fountain pen, 

                                                           from an historic period of transition for the German pen maker Kaweco.

                                            The model represents the critical bridge era when Kaweco merged with the Aurumia brand,

                                                              under the company name Knust, Woringen & Grube (KWG).

                                                           In 1929, the original Heidelberg-based Kaweco company went bankrupt, 

                                      with a smaller fountain pen factory based in Wiesloch called Knust, Woringen & Grube (KWG) ,

                  which produced pens under the brand name Aurumia—purchasing Kaweco's name, machinery, patents, and stock.

                                                 Following the acquisition in 1929/1930, the new owners merged the product lines. 

                                  The design styles were consolidated, giving birth to the famous three-part "KA WE CO" circle logo

                                                            Pens originating right around the 1929–1930 transition period,

                                         often feature rare "Aurumia KWG" gold nibs or early hybrid Kaweco/Aurumia imprints
