A striking vintage D.L. Auld serpent piece with a wonderfully versatile design.

Crafted from flexible gold-tone metal mesh, the long serpent body has a fluid, almost textile-like quality that allows it to drape and curve beautifully. The sculptural snake head is accented with large faceted deep-red rhinestones, while the opposite end finishes in an ornate pointed tail.

One of the most distinctive features of this design is its clever adjustable closure. A concealed clip beneath the serpent head attaches directly to the flexible mesh, allowing the piece to be styled at different lengths and in several different ways.

At approximately 36.2 inches (92 cm) long, it can be worn as a dramatic long necklace, wrapped around the neck for a shorter statement look, coiled several times around the wrist as a bold bracelet, or styled as a decorative belt depending on waist size and placement.
