That stamp is almost certainly KARAT CLAD.
Under a small or worn mark, "KARAT CLAD" is easily misread as "DATCLA" because:
The K and R wear down to look like a D or A.
The middle letters spell out ATC (...ARAT C...).
Karat Clad (or Karatclad): A specialized form of heavy electroplating (usually 100 micro-inches of 18K or 14K gold over a base metal like brass or bronze). It is significantly thicker than standard gold flash plating, but it is not solid gold and does not have scrap melt value.
