An early book by the famous cartoonist Charles Dana Gibson, this one entitled "The Social Ladder". Published in 1902.
Charles Dana Gibson (1856-1944) was an American illustrator who created the famous "Gibson Girls". He published his illustrations and cartoons in "Life" magazine which he eventually went on to own. He was the brother in law of Nancy Astor.
The book contains 76 black and white illustrations all with a witty social comment and many featuring Gibson Girls.
In fair condition for its age with some soiling to the covers and wear to the edges of the covers. All the illustrations are in fair condition for their age.
