A substantial, beautifully made TUMI Alpha briefcase in supple black Napa leather, model 9621D3. This is a large, highly organized expandable briefcase with an impressive amount of usable space—much more than its streamlined appearance suggests.

The expansion makes a remarkable difference. When opened, the main compartment has the capacity of a small travel bag while retaining the organization of a professional briefcase.
There are multiple substantial compartments throughout, so you can separate a laptop/computer, documents, clothing, accessories and other travel necessities instead of putting everything into one large cavity.

The exterior pockets are particularly useful because several are far deeper than they appear. Even the smaller-looking front pocket has enough depth to accommodate a standard 16.9 oz beverage bottle.
One of the nicest features is the integrated luggage pass-through on the back.
It is a single full-width pocket with two zipper pulls that start at the outside edges and zip toward the center. The opening allows the bag to slide securely over the telescoping handle of a rolling suitcase.
This is a particularly clever TUMI design because the zipper arrangement leaves the back as one uninterrupted pocket rather than dividing it with a center seam. If not needing it as a pass-through, bottom zipper can be closed and have yet another very usable pocket.
No separate luggage sleeve needs to be attached—the pass-through is built into the bag.
Also included is a genuine-looking TUMI gray/black mesh zippered accessory pouch inside the bag.
The pouch measures approximately 9¼" x 3½" x 1½" and is useful for cables, chargers, toiletries, small electronics, travel accessories or other loose items.
It has a TUMI-branded zipper pull and TUMI-patterned fabric details.
This is a pre-owned vintage/older TUMI and shows normal signs of previous use, particularly on the exterior leather.
The leather has been carefully cleaned and conditioned and lightly brushed, bringing back a beautiful natural leather sheen without making it look overly glossy or refinished.
There is visible vintage wear, including areas of rubbing and surface marks consistent with use. Please examine all photographs carefully—they are an important part of the description.
The interior is exceptionally clean and well preserved for a bag of this age.
Zippers, compartments, handles and hardware have been inspected and are functioning properly.
