This is a beautiful vintage Japanese Obijime, a traditional decorative cord worn over the obi belt with kimono.

This piece belonged to my grandmother and was carefully used and stored in its original box for many years.

The elegant ivory-white color and delicate braided design give it a refined and traditional Japanese appearance. It also features beautiful tassels at both ends.

The original storage box is included. The box is marked in Japanese with “御帯締め”, meaning “Obijime.”
