  • From the time the Lord began to deal with my heart, I knew my life no longer belonged to me. Jesus Christ had laid His hand upon me, and I was called to preach His Word, shepherd His people, and give myself to the work of His Kingdom. After preparing for ministry at Zion Bible Institute and serving in New York, the Lord directed my steps to Coudersport, Pennsylvania, in 1957. What I did not fully know then was that this would become the field where I would pour out my life.

    For more than sixty years, I stayed.

    I stayed because God planted me there. I stayed because the sheep needed a shepherd. I stayed because the Gospel was worth every sacrifice, every tear, every battle, and every season of labor. Through times of blessing and testing, through growth and hardship, through spiritual warfare and the moving of the Holy Ghost, I learned that faithfulness is not proven in a moment. It is proven over a lifetime.
