The dish was produced in limited quantities exclusively in the year reported on the dish itself; production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape, making each example unique and impossible to reproduce.
Bing&Grondahl, founded in Copenhagen in 1853, was the first manufacturer in the world to produce Christmas plates, inaugurating the series in 1895. Its artisan tradition combines underglaze technique and hand decoration in high quality porcelain.
On the back there is the original Bing&Grondahl brand with le three towers, inspired by the coat of arms of the city of Copenhagen, and the painter's initials, to guarantee authenticity and original Danish production.
