Up for bid is a vintage men’s HAMILTON VISCOUNT14K yellow gold manual wind watch, running, with some issues as noted below.  The square case is 28 mm wide with 17 mm lug spacing.  The poorly refinished silver dial has applied gold markers, signed “HAMILTON”.  The 14K yellow gold case has a snap back, marked on the interior as shown.  It has a fairly modern black lizard 2-piece band.  It is engraved “P.H.D.” on the back, either initials or an academic degree.  It has a 19J caliber 754 manual wind movement, possibly an old replacement though I have found other Viscounts with this same movement.

Condition on the watch is as found.  The dial is mottled and discolored around the edges, likely from an old refinishing.  It does not have the crossed lines or the gold applique that it should have, depending on when it was made.  The movement, while contemporary and of high quality, should probably be a 22J 770, though there are other Viscounts on the market with the 754.  It winds and runs and keeps good time, though.  The band has some wear.  Regardless, a fair example of a scarce watch
