Offered is a lovely, vintage oval Anishinaabe Quill Birch Bark and Sweetgrass Basket Box, featuring a floral design. The box measures 5" by 3 1/4" by 2 1/2". 

It displays nicely but has a few issues: It does have about 7 broken, lifted or missing quills scattered about the box, though the floral design is intact and pretty. There is also a glue splotch on bottom and some of the birch bark has peeled off. Please see pictures.  

I don't have much provenance on this. I purchased it from an auction in Massachusetts. I'm letting some of our quill box collection go as I'm not displaying them all.

*I pack carefully and try to reuse materials to save on environmental impact. I often double-box items with smaller gift boxes collected from various thrift stores. Though I don't like styrofoam peanuts for environmental reasons, I have found they are the best at protecting fragile  items against damage during shipping. I reuse all that I receive and hope you will make use of the ones that come in your packages.
