When Mead and Stix are discovered to be alive, their former commanding officer, Uldren, sets out to eliminate them before they can expose him for stealing data from a Tyrell military lab. This treachery has enabled the Cheshire Corporation to produce its own combat Replicants, which inadvertently share Stix’s distinctive kill signature. As Tokyo reels from a vicious Yakuza clan war, Mead and Stix are forced into a deadly confrontation with Rumika, the Blade Runner dispatched by Tyrell to dismantle Cheshire—and eliminate everyone connected to it.
